Cheerful atmosphere at VPT stage door - NOT (Tuesday, 11 Nov).

This text has been published earlier today on a closed FB page, but I really want this to be read by everyone, not just those who have access to that page. So, here we are:

Yesterday, after the show, some of us regulars were not far from the stage door - discussing, as usual, what we'd just seen. There was a lot of commotion there yesterday as some of the ballet girs were leaving, so it was a noisy atmosphere despite the rain.
A bit later we noticed that Matteo was not getting to the Billymobile but instead was in a company of some women, apparently about to leave with them. When they were passing us by, one of us said to him some words of encouragement, like 'Well done, Matteo, good job' - usual sort of things. What happened next utterly perplexed me. Matteo almost shuddered. He smiled weakly while trying to hide himself behind the women as they ushered him away shielding him from rain and/or from us. Some conclusion to our yesterday's show I'd say...
I don't know what bull They tell them about us, but it must be something pretty bad. Rapists, child molesters, paedophiles, body snatchers, vampires? Well, I can congratulate all those responsible (Jimmy? David Massey?) - they did a pretty thorough job on them. Well done, guys! I guess we miserable regulars whose only crime is that we like the show so much may be grateful They at least let us watch it without banning us from the theatre forever. The atmosphere is different though, less fun, less excitement than before, some odd glances towards us from Them and Co., but nothing to die of, right? Our ranks are thinner than ever before though, some of as being less thick-skinned than others to bear the icy glances and other perks of being regulars have abandoned the show for good. As for the actors, better scared and safe, right? Do you seriously think so? Do you seriously think brainwashing them into 'all regulars are dangerous' notion will not affect their future, even immediate future as actors on stage? Stage acting is not just saying the lines, it comes in package with autographs, socialising with fans etc. and it is a very pleasant package, imho. So what's bad in allowing them to give us autographs? Saying to them they are brilliant, they did well in the stage? Yesterday it was particularly unfair as Matteo was fantastic on stage, both dancing and acting wise and his duo with Zach was the highlight of the entire show, but all excitement vanished after what happened later. The last thing I want is to scare a child, and if I see him as scared as he was yesterday I cannot help thinking that perhaps the standing ovations he got from us yesterday are too much, and maybe I should avoid watching him completely as he surely isn't particularly happy seeing me in the front row - or elsewhere, come to think of that. Sad, really sad...
